Enhanced EPP Error and Response Messages
Error messages returned via EPP have been improved for better clarity and troubleshooting.
Response messages have also been refined to provide more accurate and actionable information.
Extended Transfer Poll Response Period
The transfer wait period for Poll responses has been extended from 1 day to 2 days, allowing for greater flexibility in managing transfer requests.

Enhance RandomString() generation by revising the method to guarantee strings include at least one alphabetic character, one numeric character, and, optionally, one special character. Utilize random_int() for improved randomness and shuffle the resulting string. Increment version to v4.0.119.

Dear Reseller Partner,
On April 15th, we were informed by CentralNic about a potential incident involving a third-party data processing provider. CentralNic is currently investigating the matter. As a precautionary step, they have advised resetting account passwords and changing AuthCodes. The affected zones can be viewed here.
We have already taken action by implementing these changes as of April 16th, rendering the old AuthCodes invalid. You may need to update the information on your systems accordingly.
We will keep you informed, should we get further information.
On 1 May 2024, we will modify the domain lock feature to solely apply the clientTransferProhibited status. At present, it also enforces clientUpdateProhibited, leading to complications for certain resellers. After thorough investigation, it has been determined that the standard procedure is to solely implement the clientTransferProhibited status with domain lock. Any domains currently displaying both statuses will be adjusted to only indicate clientTransferProhibited on 1 May 2024. If you have any queries, please feel free to reach out.

The ZA.COM registry announced a price increase effective 21 November 2023. As a result, the standard cost for registrations, renewals and transfers for .ZA.COM will be $264.

Tucows Registry confirmed that they have cancelled the planned migration due to technical difficulties. The .cloud provisioning is now back with GoDaddy Registry for the time being.

Please note that .cloud is migrating to a new registry. Until the migration is complete no new .cloud registrations and renewals on existing .cloud domains will be possible. As soon as the migration and onboarding is complete we will post an update here. No .cloud domains on our Gateway system need to be renewed in 2023.
Please note that our system is currently dealing with an issue for domain creates where a domain create fails to list the domain on your account. Our engineers are currently working on this issue. This problem is intermittent and only affects certain transactions. As soon as we have an update we will post it here and on our status page.

There will be no differentiation on .com create, renew and transfer fees as of 1 September.
An important payment assertion issue and an XSS security issue have been identified that affect all versions of WHMCS.
We have published new releases for active and LTS versions of WHMCS (v8.7 and v8.6) as well as a patch for EOL version v8.5. Patches will not be released for any earlier versions of WHMCS.
These issues were reported via our Security Bounty Program. Further details about these issues will not be disclosed at this time.
