New Extensions added to Gateway

We are constantly adding new registries and domain name extensions to our Gateway Portal and our newest additions are Country Code Top level domains (ccTLDs): .JE and .GG and their Second Level Domains (SLDs).
.JE

First registered in September 1996, .JE is the ccTLD for the Crown dependency of Jersey. With a history extending over 1000 years, heavily influenced by its strategic location between the northern coast of France and the southern coast of England; Jersey is a self-governing parliamentary democracy under a constitutional democracy, with the power of self determination and its' own financial, judicial and legal systems.

 .JE is intended for those looking to expand, attract, or target the people and communities of Jersey, the largest of all the Channel Islands, however is an open domain name and is available for registration by any individual or company who wishes to register a .je.
Since 2000, names have been registered primarily directly under the country code. However the following SLDs are still open for registration for the listed intended, but not limited to the following uses;
.co.je - commercial/personal domains
.net.je - Internet service providers and commercial
.org.je - organisations (free to local good causes)

.GG

Also introduced in September 1996, .GG is the ccTLD for the Bailiwick of Guernsey. Surrounded by several smaller islands, Guernsey, lying to the west of Jersey, and 3 nearby islands form a jurisdiction called the Bailiwick of Guernsey, also a British Colony.
.GG is also popular within the gaming community and is often used as in multiplayer video games as an abbreviation for the phrase 'good game', primarily said to team mates or opponents at the end of the game. For this reason, the domain name .GG is commonly registered by gaming channels and websites, such as discord.gg for their main websites, server invite links and redirect channels.

Names have been registered principally directly at second level, however the following legacy sub-domains are still open for registration:
.co.gg – commercial/personal domains
.net.gg – Internet service providers and commercial
.org.gg – organisations (free to local good causes)

History of .JE and .GG

Although the bailiwicks of Jersey and Guernsey are often referred to collectively as the Channel Islands, the "Channel Islands" are not a constitutional or political unit. Jersey has a separate relationship to the Crown from the other Crown dependencies of Guernsey, although both are held by the monarch of the United Kingdom.
Alderney hosts the domain name registry for both Jersey and Guernsey. The country-code top-level domains of .je and .gg first appeared on the Internet in August 1996 after Jon Postel agreed with Nigel Roberts to add four codes (GG and JE, and IM and AC) to the IANA list of TLDs.

.JE and .GG on Gateway
